Killing Kennedy is a powerful work about the assassination of John FitzGerald Kennedy that changed the course of American History. It is a brutal account of that day in Dallas where Kennedy was gunned down which resulted in national chaos. The assassination sent the country, America, into the unsettling Vietnam War and the American People into a complete turmoil. Killing Kennedy, offers a lot of information on the personal and political life of JFK during the white house years. As Kennedy’s approval ratings went over the top, Kennedy was also acquiring a lot of enemies. His enemies were a result of the crackdown by the Attorney General, Robert Kennedy, JFK’s brother, on organized crime. The assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy is the most notorious crime of the twentieth century.
Amazing book! A page turner! A must read! I was 16 years old when John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated. I was sitting in my Spanish class when the teacher received a phone call. My teacher burst into tears and hysterically sent the class to the school lawn to watch a large TV had been set up. On the school lawn we all sat quietly crying and waited until the school buses arrived. I had the first date with my future husband of 42 years that night but my parents did not allow me to go out of the house. The drapes were shut and the doors locked and we mourned as we watched the TV set. It truly was the End of Camelot of our country!
