Starring Shapes! by Tania Howells Book Review

This is a must have educational book for kids on shapes. A few things that I loved about this book was the name of the Elementary School and the name of the play Hansel and Gretel. From a teaching stand point I LOVED how the author showed the shape and then showed the shape in real life examples for example the triangle was a traffic sign and of course pizza.

This would be a perfect story time book with kids, talking about and pointing out shapes, you could even go the next step and talk about shapes around the classroom

Starring Shapes! by Tania Howells Book Review

Shapes play supporting roles in the world around us, but which one will be the star of Shapeston Elementary School’s play? Triangle has experience as a traffic sign, and Square moonlights as a postage stamp, Circle as a lemon slice, Rectangle as the cover of a magazine and Diamond as a kite, while Oval has played a surfboard. A fun and fresh look at basic shapes that will have you seeing them in surprising places.
