Jessica Fellowes, author of A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey, is the niece of the series creator, Julian Fellowes. She is also the writer of The World of Downton Abbey, and the Chronicles of Downton Abbey. Previously Jessica Fellowes was the deputy editor of the publication Country Life. She also writes for Daily Telegraph, The Lady, The Times, and the Sunday Times Style.

A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey explores the seasonal celebrations and events of the great estate. The book invites the readers to be a part of twelve months in the life of Downton Abbey. Some of the celebrations are house parties, debutantes, the London Season, yearly trips to Scotland, the Sporting Season and all the wonderful traditions and rituals of Christmas. The photography in the book is by Nick Briggs and his work is amazing, it is as if one was sitting on their favorite chair watching the series on their television. The book is divided into twelve chapters; one for each month of the year and the celebrations that would take place in that time period.

Such a great book and so fun to read about your favorites series and the actors that play in the series. The recipes in the book are to die for. If you enjoy Downton Abbey, this is your book!
