Ans. => Telling stories. Sharing stories in poem form.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
Ans. => Drive draft horses
When did you write your first book and how old were you?
Ans. => 2016 at 55 y/o
What does your family think of your writing?
Ans. => It’s a business book so they don’t much pay attention to it.
What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
Ans. => I thought I knew how to communicate clearly until the editor clearly pointed out how ambiguous my writing can be.
How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
Ans. => Just one, but it’s not my favorite. The next book will be my favorite.
Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they
Ans. => Don’t write how you speak. Written communication can be very different than verbal communication. Get plenty of feedback.
Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
Ans. => Yes occasionally. Feedback is that the book is dense and could have been two books. There are some great unique ideas conveyed in it and it has worked out well as subject matter for monthly learning get togethers.
Do you like to create books for adults or children…Why?
Ans. => Adults so far but if I would write a children’s book if the inspiration came to me.
What do you think makes a good story?
Ans. => When there is something to learn about yourself.
As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
Ans. => Be a farmer or a veterinarian.
When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Ans. => Never thought of it that way. I just defined an end point / subject and wrote to that.
How long does it take you to write this books?
Ans. => Just over a year
What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
Ans. => Work was busy but I write best in the morning so I took advantage of that.
What brought you to write this book series?
Ans. => I’ve written the one book.
How you become a published author? Any inspiration?
Ans. => First and foremost believe in yourself and your message. Secondly take action. Research publishing options that best fit you and hire a great editor.
Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
Ans. => Ideas come from real life events and real life learning.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
Ans. => I can’t multitask when writing. I have to sit down in the morning hours and just take an idea and add words to it.
