Maeve Binchy author of Scarlet Feather has written several other bestselling novels. Scarlet Feather is actually a catering company in the novel. It is owned by Tom Feather and Cathy Scarlett. Two young ambitious friends who are trying to make their mark in the world while still each being involved in their personal lives. The novel takes place over one years time from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Eve the following year. The novel has a cast of unforgettable friends, relatives and clients who may cause the reader to laugh, cry, get angry and smile.
Binchy is an enchanting author. She makes the ordinary extraordinary in all of her characters. To miss one of her books would be a disappointment as she is such a gifted writer. Wonderful book. One of Binchy’s best!
