Jennifer Chiaverini, author of The Lost Quilter, also wrote the much beloved Elm Creek Quilt Series. Chiaverini is also the designer of the Elm Creek Quilt fabric lines from Red Rooster Fabrics. She resides in Madison, Wisconsin.

The main character of the Elm Creek Quilt Series is Sylvia Bergstrom Compson. She is the owner of Elm Creek Farm. The Lost Quilter, takes Sylvia on a search back in time to the Civil War Era. The Lost Quilter is a fugitive slave named Joanna. She traveled by Underground Railway to her safe place at Elm Creek Farm in 1859. The story comes together through an amazing antique quilt and a diary. The story pieces together likes scraps in an old quilt and leaves a legacy.

If the reader is a quilter, The Lost Quilter, will greatly be an inspiration to you. One never know where quilts you hand make are going to end up and what secrets they have to tell. Loved this novel. Great book!
