The location of These High Green Hills, is a small town called Mitford. There is a famous quote about this town that is seen in every book Karon has written in the series; “The little town that readers everywhere love to call home.” After reading the whole series, that quote rings true. The reader wishes, that they could live next door to the characters in Mitford.

In These High Green Hills, Father Tim; the main character, has married his neighbor Cynthia. The couple find themselves facing all the challenges a new marriage brings. Even Father Tim’s big black dog has to change the location of his bed. There are a lot of hilarious antics as Cynthia is trying to change Father Tim into a more daring and not so set in his ways individual.

The book is a delight. Easy light funny reading. Very enjoyable.
