Unbroken, is the true story of Louie Zamperini’s life from a child, to becoming an Olympian to becoming a captive in World War II. The true story is one of history’s most thrilling survival epics. As a boy, Louie was a delinquent, breaking into homes, fighting, and stealing. As a teenager he channeled all his energy into running and discovered his talent. Louie’s talent took him to the Berlin Olympics. When the war came the Olympian became an airman that led to an unlucky flight that left him on a tiny raft drifting into the unknown. He became a prisoner of war by the Japanese. It is a book of endurance, strength, and the raw will to live.

I purchased the book after seeing the movie Unbroken. The movie was one of the most amazing, gut wrenching, touching movie I have ever seen. This book will not disappoint anyone.
